Following LEAD™, on the twelve-month long GOLD™ program you learn how to create, implement and review strategy in your own and other businesses by experiencing ‘being’ a Non-Executive Director (NED) in other organisations and ‘having’ a NED in your own company.
GOLD™ focuses on business planning, strategic leadership, change management, decision making processes and culture change. You will work with a small group of like-minded peers.
You are supported to work in each other’s organisations through a range of simulated board meetings and workshops, and develop an annual action plan linking your vision with your day-to-day activities.
Subsequently, delegates can build on their Postgraduate Certificate to have their learning on GOLD™ accredited and receive a Postgraduate Diploma (Leading Business) from the University of Gloucestershire which can form the basis for our MBA (Leading Business).
The twelve-month long GOLD™ program supports owner-managers, business leaders and senior managers of small to medium sized enterprises (SME) to work in each other’s organisations through a mixture of simulated board meetings and workshops with a focus on the matters that SME boards should be considering.
We assist you to develop your vision with an annual action plan that links your vision to day–to-day activities. Together with your peers, you will be coached on how to prepare board packs, understand and interpret appropriate management and financial information, create a dashboard report with relevant key performance indicators and produce a prioritised sales pipeline.
Through the monthly simulated board meetings, you will experience ‘being’ a Non-Executive Director (NED) and receive the impact of ‘having’ a NED within your organisation. This will directly improve your performance in your own board and senior management meetings plus give you the confidence to become a NED and/or engage a NED as you further develop yourself and your company.
